How XAML transforms the Collaboration between Designers and Developers: A White Paper

Over at WindowsClient.NET Karsten Januszewski and Jaime Rodriguez have published a technical white paper on Developer/Designer Interaction. It explores the convergence of Microsoft's new Designer tools (Expression Studio), and integration with Developer tools (Visual Studio 2008). It's a very good technical read, with real world examples of teams working together and how they did it..

It's an overall great read and will give you the basics of what you need to know. Note: it only covers other basic tools used for structured graphics creation used by other platforms and doesn't cover all of the tool scenarios. This is a basic comparison but really nicely focuses on what Microsoft did to change the work flow for the better. It's worth the read and identifies a great lot of informational sources.
