    Opportunity

     

    The .Net Web Developer career opportunity is for the CHO product development team within the Jonas/CSG organization and is responsible for developing interactive web applications for an important suite of online services.

     

    This person must showcase extensive experience in developing web based solutions. The .NET Web Developer will be responsible for ensuring the user interaction is responsive and intuitive. You will help develop the next generation of online web solutions by working closely with a talented team including a UX expert, graphic designer, back-end developers, and subject matter experts.

     

    You will ensure web applications are accessible to a diverse user base. The solutions developed must be adaptable to various implementation/design scenarios. We require a proven ability to articulate ideas and the ability to work with a development team to produce industry leading solutions.

     

    Reporting to the Manager of Web Development, the core responsibilities of the position are to:

     

    • Create responsive and flexible web applications in an iterative manner adapting to constant feedback from clients and SMEs.
    • Work with SMEs to articulate requirements and system interactions in UML and develop functional systems based on this documentation
    • Work with a UX team to produce fluid user interactions in a manner that hides the complexity of the underlying systems.
    • Incorporate best of breed techniques and technologies with a focus on reducing development time and increasing maintainability.
    • Develop solutions in a skinnable manner allowing the UI to change easily.
    • Ensure applications are both performance driven and flexible to allow for customizations and changes after deployment
    • Participate in code reviews, be both able to give and receive constructive criticism.
    • Develop unit tests
    • Ensure web applications adhere to compliance standards and are downward compatible.
    • Test, support and participate in the design process of applications and modifications
    • Support the source and object code base of the organization
    • Store and update the source code of each project
    • Design, develop and implement relational database for new and existing systems

     

    Qualifications

    This position requires varying degrees of expertise in:

    • 6-9 years of experience
    • 4+ years of web development/design experince
    • Bachelor degree in computer science, web design or related field.
    • XHTML, CSS, XAML, JavaScript, JSON, REST, AJAX, DHTML,
    • ASP.NET, ColdFusion, Web Services, C#, TSQL, NHibernate, Unit Testing
    • Telerik, Infragistics, and AJAX.NET controls
    • Experience with .NET 3.0 / 3.5 is a plus (WCF / WPF / Silverlight)
    • Application Experience
      • Visual Studio .NET 2005 / Visual Source Safe
      • Adobe Photoshop CS3
      • Microsoft Expression Web / Design / Blend
    • Good understanding of web concepts, HTTP communications, HTML and CSS design.
    • Fundamentals of relational database design and the application of relational concepts
    • Knowledge of object oriented programming techniques, experience with building unit tests.
    • Design skills for graphics and website programming tools for user interface designs
